Fashion

Fashion as Art. Fashion as Community.
At the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, fashion is more than style — it is cultural expression, craftsmanship, identity, and innovation.
Through exhibitions, public programs, designer partnerships, and Memphis Art & Fashion Week, the museum supports fashion as a living art form. From emerging talent to internationally recognized designers, we create space for creativity to be seen, celebrated, and elevated.
In 2026, as we prepare to open the Memphis Art Museum on the Mississippi River, fashion continues to play a central role in shaping the city’s creative future.
Our fashion programs bring style to life through workshops, talks, and community events that spark creativity and connection. Whether you love design, culture, or simply great style, there’s something for you here.

Memphis Art & Fashion Week is an annual program of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art that celebrates fashion as cultural expression, artistic practice, and community connection.
Each year, the week brings together designers, retailers, stylists, students, and creative leaders from across the region alongside national voices in the field. Through runway presentations, conversations, partnerships, and public events, the program expands access to fashion as an art form and creates meaningful opportunities for emerging and established designers alike.
Built in collaboration with local partners and the University of Memphis Fashion Program, Memphis Art & Fashion Week strengthens the creative ecosystem that supports fashion in the city year-round.
Join the Couture Collective for insider access, member-only fashion events, and even more ways to celebrate your passion for fashion.

Headline Designer: Michael Ngo
Fashion at the intersection of performance and power.
Internationally recognized designer Michael Ngo headlines Memphis Art & Fashion Week 2026 with an original runway presentation featuring dozens of designs — including exclusive pieces created specifically for Memphis.
Ngo began designing in 2011 and made his runway debut at Los Angeles Fashion Week just three years later. Since then, he has become known for dressing major artists including Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, and BLACKPINK.
His work is defined by bold silhouettes, sculptural detail, and a deep understanding of movement and stage presence. Treating each collection as a complete creative experience, Ngo designs garments that perform — commanding attention while allowing freedom of motion.
In May 2026, he brings that vision to the Memphis runway.
