At the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, we believe art education is a part of the lifelong learning journey and seek to provide our community access to meaningful opportunities to create and make connections through the arts.
Inspired Aging is a free studio art course for adults who are 55 and better seeking creative exploration in a social group setting. These beginner-friendly courses include art-making inspired by the museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions. Each course is led by a local teaching artist, includes multiple sessions to build artist skills over time, and concludes with a culminating event to celebrate the participants’ work.
Courses are free but space is limited, so registration is required. Please check our events page to register for upcoming courses. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
