Black Arts Collective
Art museums are historically majority white spaces. Yet, success for Memphis' art museum and for Memphis’ art community, located in the largest Black city in America, must robustly integrate our city’s Black community, Black artists, and Black arts professionals. The Black Arts Collective ensures that Black artists and audiences are actively welcomed and supported within and through the city’s museum, and that their participation grows and deepens.
