FILM: Visioneers

Thursday, July 16 | 7:30 pm

If you're into supporting Indie Memphis and the Brooks Museum, then you'll love our next film. Visioneers, a movie about exploding people, demands of its viewers a certain experience in the common workplace.

Featuring actor Zach Galifianakis from this summer's comedy, The Hangover, Galifiniakis plays a character named George Washington who, although has notable symptons of combustion, ignores them and tries to go on with his life.

His wife, played by Judy Greer from the hit show Arrested Development, is unhappy with her husband in many ways and is not afraid to express it. This leads to more symptons, especially because the spontaneous human combustion is caused by unhappiness.

After dreaming that he's the first president of The United States, George Washington begins to revaluate his life. And after seeing this black comedy, you might too...

"The satire in the movie is very well done, and a lot of the absurdist comedy is clever, if not necessarily laugh out loud hilarious." -Sean from Film Junk
