Opportunities

You can help the Brooks Museum continue our important work in many ways. Whether you become a docent, help with a mailing or special event, your contribution makes a difference.

Employment

The Brooks employs over 60 people and offers job opportunities in a variety of career fields. We employ staff in many areas including curatorial, development, marketing and public relations, education, visitor services, retail, library science, accounting, information technology, graphic design, security, human resources, and facility management and maintenance. View museum employment opportunities.

Volunteer

Our volunteers are the heart and soul of the Brooks! We truly couldn’t do what we do without their help. The Brooks offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, depending on your individual interests, skills, and availability. However, we are not currently adding to our volunteer roster. Please check back for future volunteer opportunities.

Docent

The Brooks docent program seeks adults from diverse backgrounds who have a passion for art, enjoy speaking in front of groups and will lead tours through the museum. An art background is not necessary. Our training class will give you all the skills and information you need to conduct successful tours. Learn more.

Internships

If you are a high school or college student, you can gain incredible experience and school credit as an intern at the Brooks. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about careers in an art museum, and to build mentor relationships with museum professionals, who can advise you as you pursue your educational and career goals. Interns work on significant projects under the guidance of experienced museum staff. View internship opportunities.
