Each year, Memphis Wine + Food Series of fundraising events, formerly known as the Art of Good Taste, boasts three live auctions, two silent auctions, two elegant winemaker dinners, and more than 25 exclusive wine tastings and dinners across the city throughout the year.
Growing from a single wine auction to a series of seven events that attracts national attention, Memphis Wine + Food Series now includes the Fleming’s Wine Dinner, an annual spirit tasting, an artists’ reception, Brooks Uncorked, the Patrons Dinner, the Grand Auction, and a champagne brunch on Mother’s Day. In addition, the series now includes an entry-level wine tasting class called Warm Up to Wine, held at the museum three times a year.
Since the early 1990s, Memphis Wine + Food Series has contributed nearly $4 million in net revenue to the Brooks. Unique to the Brooks wine auction is the expense to revenue ratio; we are proud to direct more than 70 percent of all monies raised from these events back into programming and museum operations.
