06/26/2013, 10:00 AM to Noon
Come to Wacky Wednesday on June 26th to celebrate the
art and life of Impressionist artist Claude Monet. Work in our Open Artworks
Studio and watch animated short films about and inspired by Claude Monet. This
week’s films include Getting to Know Monet, an animated version of the
bestselling children’s book Linnea in Monet’s Garden, and Harbor Tale,
an independent children’s film from Japan (Director: Yuichi Ito, Japan, 2011).
Every Wednesday in June and July, come get wacky at the
Museum admission and all activities are free, so the whole community can
experience the creativity and inspiration of both the visual arts and film.
Children of all ages and their adult friends can drop into our Artworks Studio
and create a variety of projects using many different materials. They can also
watch a multitude of films made just for kids. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more. To schedule
