Come and learn about the art and life of Edgar Degas at Wacky Wednesday on July 24th. Inspired by two of degas’s favorite subjects, dancers and horses, create a work of art to take home in our Open ArtWorks Studio and take in a film in our air-conditioned auditorium. This week’s short films feature a movie about Edgar Degas and four independent children’s films, including a film from Germany, Rising Hope, directed by Milen Vitanov, and a film from the USA, Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks, directed by Shaun Kim.
Every Wednesday in June and July, come get wacky at the
Museum admission and all activities are free, so the whole community can
experience the creativity and inspiration of both the visual arts and film.
Children of all ages and their adult friends can drop into our Artworks Studio
and create a variety of projects using many different materials. They can also
watch a multitude of films made just for kids. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more. To schedule
your group visit to Wacky Wednesday, please call 901-544-6215.
