In conjunction with the exhibition, Coming to America, Sarah Coffin, Curator at the Cooper Hewitt Museum, will discuss the impact of European art and design upon the United States during the turbulent 1920s and 1930s.

Sarah Coffin is Curator and Head of Product Design and Decorative Arts Department at Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York. A distinguished expert in the field of seventeenth and eighteenth-century decorative and applied arts, Coffin has worked extensively on eighteenth-century and Arts and Crafts Movement English and American silver and furniture among other objects of the period.
