At the Brooks, we believe art is a unifying force. We see how art inspires creativity, dialogue, and communal spirit. That is why we strive to make art accessible to the whole community, in and outside the museum.

Brooks Museum has several programs for the entire community. The Art Builds Creativity program strives to integrate the visual arts into standard fourth-grade academic curriculum.

Museum staff also partners with Mid-South organizations in the Art Therapy Access program. Previous partners include Alzheimer’s Day Services of Memphis in Piece of Mind and the Veterans’ Administration.

Community Days allow families and friends to experience the museum in a fun, engaging environment and feature art-making activities, special events, and family guides. Brooks Museum speakers deliver presentations highlighting the museum's collection and special exhibitions.
