The Brooks is established in the Memphis area as a major venue for talks by artists, scholars, and historians. Public lectures cover topics ranging from special exhibitions and the permanent collection to current events and critical debates on art.

Thursday Evening Tours
Public tours also available on selected Thursday evenings of each month at 6 pm. These are free with museum admission. To reserve your space or for more information, please call 901.544.6242.

Tea and Tours for Seniors
Seniors can visit the museum for leisurely tours conducted by docents and afterward enjoy tea and treats provided by the Brooks Museum League. Admission is $3, and reservations are always required. Please contact the Education department at 901.544.6242 or edu@brooksmuseum.org to make arrangements. Tea and Tours are available from 1:30-3:30 pm on select Thursdays. Kress Symposia
The Samuel H. Kress Foundation generously funds scholarly research and publications on art objects given to the Brooks by the foundation. These important symposia bring in international scholars, whose expertise help further the knowledge of the collections through the production of a full body of research.
