This Wacky Wednesday will focus on the sense of sight. Films include: Animated versions of the great children’s stories:
Peter’s Chair by Ezra Jack Keats, Blackout by John Rocco, Sky Color by Peter H. Reynolds, The Great White Man-Eating Shark by Margaret Mahy, and the original, international, children’s film, I Spy with My Little Eye, Directed by Alexandra Nebel, Germany, 2012.
Every Wednesday in June and July, come get wacky at the Brooks as we explore art and the human senses! Each week we will focus on one of the five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing. Children of all ages and their adult friends can drop into our open artworks studio and create a variety of projects using many different materials. They can also watch a multitude of short films made just for kids and explore the galleries with family guides to help get them looking.
Groups larger than 10 must make reservations to participate in Wacky Wednesdays at the Brooks. Contact the Tour Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 901.544.6215 to schedule a group visit.
