Meet at the Brooks Museum for an informal gallery discussion about images in the collection that challenged social norms of their time, with an emphasis on artists of the Mid-South.
The gallery conversation will be led by Wayne Dowdy, author, historian and manager of the Memphis Public Library and Information Center’s history department and Memphis and Shelby County Room.
Space is limited to 30; first come, first served.
This gallery discussion is being held in conjuction with the Banned in Memphis Film Series. Dowdy will introduce The Wild One and lead a short discussion after the screening.
